In the last 6 games, around 90% of the people who have complained about a role being dead have turned out to be scum.

not a gloat, i was calculating this today in class... assuming that there are 2 mafia, we have at most 4 nights (without a doctor) of play-time before mafia win, assuming that we lynch wrongly sometimes and the mafia take all their nightkills. The doctor being dead not only makes it more difficult for the town to win, it also shortens the game in general. im genuinely disappointed that the doctor is dead.

and why would I gloat? it's not like I killed him.

i wouldn't have, because i personally had no suspicions of wonk beyond thinking that his desire to lynch radish was a bit unnecessary. i think true scum would have been more subtle than that.

Yeah. I thought that the situation was sorted after the ":)" post, but he never stopped complaining about my playstyle. He mentioned it repeatedly, and caused me to make my huge rant post - it's not that hard to find if you want reference - I think he said sorry, but then continued to state that I hadn't changed.

why would you assume 2 mafia?

And gloating has nothing to do with who did what. Gloating is, "Sweet, the doc is dead", which in townie roughly translates to, "it's total shit that the doc is dead".

i also calculated it as if there were 3, but i figured that then the game would be over at night 3, which is obviously even shorter (with clever mafia and mislynches). i wrote my thoughts using the possibility of 2 because that gives us a MAXIMUM play time.

i truly am pissed that the doctor is dead.

yes but 2 mafia would be fairly unbalanced in favor of the town. Also, you're a bit inaccurate about when the game would end with 3 mafia. It will end at the end of day 3 without a mafia lynch, it won't go into the night. With a doc, it will go into night 3, then mafia will kill and end it. So, the doc would have to correctly protect 2 townies in three nights in order for there to be a day 4.
