is it the vocabulary that bothers you? she's scottish.

is it the fact that she's pissed at the doc being dead? well you can read this as town blending... I don't know her style enough to say if it is though, I believe FF has more insight on her style though.

Are you suggesting that it's not annoying that the doctor is dead? :s

well, I read through all Heph's posts again and just don't see the suspicion there anymore. I see that a lot of what I was suspicious of was mis-speaks that I kept thinking were slips, and a lot of sarcasm that I thought was anger at being singled out unfairly.

anyway, I am going to try and move away from the "Heph is mafia" idea, despite that during my walk to work this morning I was all, "It's Heph, trash, and stefl, I know it is".

I'm suggesting that she's mafia "gloating" that the doc is dead.

In the last 6 games, around 90% of the people who have complained about a role being dead have turned out to be scum.

Actually, you might have a point - I find it more normal for town to just move on and try to secure a mafia on the next vote.

Answer what you will.

My short answer is that you're overlooking quite a few things.  Let's dig into them.

Now here is what I don't get. Your post seems to be putting a larger case on Radish than Wonk as he's the one doing the connection, it puts a larger case on me "incredibly odd" rather than "unusual" for wonk and also it points at trash in a way that could blame me and finally your post starts and finishes by saying that ABC is your prime suspect ("best lynch candidate")....

Recall that I've already done a pretty large summation post of all three of you (and more).  I'm assuming that people actually read and remember those things, just as I read theirs.  Since I assumed that, I didn't bother to reiterate everything in it again.  In said post, I think I've made it pretty clear there why I thought wonk was suspicious, and that I was more suspicious of him than you.  The post you're quoting is not intended to repeat those suspicions, but instead to point out what a lynch of that player may reveal about others.

Hephaestos said:

Considering the votes (and not counting the votes not registered is even more in this way), ABC would have been the best candidate for a successfull lynch train.

A) ABC needed only 2 votes above yours.

B) FF was swayed easily by your points..... even though you just resumed the situation in a way that didn't particularly point at wonk. But his previous suspicions could have let him vote either way (1 more vote needed)

C) who else would have voted ABC? Not proff, not Linkz, not wonk and definitely not I. What you had left was stefl... someone evidently lacking back.

My point is that your push on wonk was made on the sole reason that you thought it was the most likely lynch to succeed, not that he was the most lynchable to your eyes.

The italicized can only be concluded when you ignore several things.  For starters, I believe Final-Fan was only swayed because I asked him to do something he was already contemplating; he'd earlier written that he was on the "ABC is just a confused townie" train, along with prof and linkz, a point which he implicitly reiterated after the post you've quoted.  I don't think FF would have voted for ABC at that point.  You wouldn't have either.  Nor would prof, Linkz, ABC, or wonk.

11-6=5, not 6.  You've essentially shown why ABC wasn't getting lynched that day.  Given that frustrating reality, I went with my second-favorite suspect.  I make no apologies for trying to lynch someone I thought was both scum and lynchable.

to further my hypothesis,  noname pushed the train on to ABC, FF, Trash and proff, the first 3 being easy sways...

Leaving aside the lazy ex-post facto thinking this post uses, what makes you think trashleg would have gone along with it, let alone easily?  I certainly have no way of knowing; how do you?

One thing of notice though is that Noname still refered to ABC as his best lynch target at the end of the day...when this discution would have pointed at him being cleared in his mind and in proff's for day one at least.

Noname has been active, but mostly distant from the action (besides the lazy and the train events), I believe there is much more to learn from him today than from proff (and I incidently also believe that the train is more on his hands than on proff's).

The italicized is completely incorrect, and the only way you can conclude that is if you ignore the follow-up posts I made in which I challenged ABC's possible soft-claim.  Really heph, I'm surprised at you for concluding that the one person who's vocally up for clarifying what that statement meant has therefore cleared that person!

I'm also completely baffled as to how I've been "mostly distant from the action" when I've been one of the most active players.  Explain.

heph wasn't really on my radar, but his bizzare overreaction to a pair of votes strikes me as being incredibly odd and out of character.  The fact that trash has almost exclusively spent the last few days trying to distance herself from him is also noteworthy.

of course it is, i don't want to be "associated" with anyone in this game. I don't want to trust anyone. that's just the way i'm playing. its not almost exclusively either, that's bull. i spent a lot of time looking at ABC because, to be honest, he's the scummiest damn player in this game.

ABC still strikes me as the best lynch candidate, but it appears to me that getting six votes on him will be difficult and I think this game needs to move on soon, since several people are getting kind of antsy and it looks like we've mined as much out of this day as we can. (The fact that I'll be going back through all these posts in later days also weighs on me right now...and where the hell was this gung-ho attitude last game?! ).

Given this, I'm going to Vote: Wonk, and try to get others to do the same.

My final point is an hypothesis:

Heph: Wonk, Noname, ABC, proff, Radish, maybe FF.. so maybe 6, Trashleg being too focused on distancing herself to vote and stefl lagging behind, and republic not having touched the matter while having his vote on ABC, Linkz had his vote on Wonk.

Wonk: Heph, Linkz, Noname, ABC, Radish, maybe FF... so maybe 6, but trashleg could bandwagon without much implication. the rest same as above, swithing linkz for proff with a vote on me.

Answer what you will.

i would not bandwagon. my vote was, and still is, on ABC. that's unchanged. Just because its day 2 now doesn't mean i'm going to disregard the events of "yesterday".

@noname: As Wonk pointed out, at the time of your vote he actually had only 2 votes while Heph had 3. Can you explain that, and would you have pushed the same plan on Heph if not for the mistake? I find it quite scummy how you went about making the lynch happen as it did, but I can't believe you would be that obvious about it if you are scum either.

For why I miscounted, I can only say that my inability to count votes has apparently continued into this game.  But no, I would not have pushed for heph's lynch if my addition was correct, because I found him less suspicious than wonk.  I even found him less suspicious than stefl, although stefl wasn't getting lynched anytime soon.

Now please explain what's so scummy about asking people to vote for someone I think is scum and might get lynched.
