Forums - Gaming - I don't want portable consoles.

like someone say,

if you don't want, don't buy !

why do you complain ?!!!

I disagree with that sentiment.

The OP doesn't like the direction of how handheld games are heading, which means it will directly affect his enjoyment of the handheld device.

By saying, "Don't buy", simply takes away that possibility of the enjoyment that has been around for decades.

That's the same sentiment of the people that oppose potest because the "item" does not directly affect them.

Say, you stay quiet regrading the full body groping when you go on the plan because you aren't flying now.

Then one day, you suddenly needed to fly and have to experience the full groping. You'll think back and wished you'd speak up.

It's a good thing for people to speak up before it's too late.

@smokedhostage  GOW, MetalGear, Mario, Donkey Kong, etc all were on consoles originally, all were translated well to portables and they all say hi

@twestern  if there were so many how come you cant even name one??? Even if there were some games on GameBoy that didnt appear on NES doesnt mean that it was dramatically different than any game found on NES. Super Mario Land, DK Land, Gargoyles Quest. All games that were GameBoy only but it wasnt like they were "unique" from the NES games. There all just platformers and it wasnt like there wasnt an abundance of those on NES.

Yeah, even though I have two Game Boy's sitting in my home office I haven't played one for at least 15 years.  Most of the Game Boy games really aren't that memorable, except two:

Tetris and, oh wait, Quirk (mainy because I remember fighting with my sister over it and how pants on head stupid it was).

Quirk.  That's one that wasn't on the NES.

^^^ i have never even heard of that game, ill check it. But im willing to bet that there is some kind of NES equilavent(same genre, gameplay style, etc.)

You do realize in order for devices not to go obsolite in 2-3 years they have to make them pretty cutting edge, ps3 and 360 are like 5 years old npg and 3DS are just comming out now, if they make them cheaper they have to lower the specs if they lower the specs it's obsolite and being blown away in 2 years, if price is such an issue wait a few years, both the handhelds and the games will go down in price

You can keep the "outdated" device longer on the market by making it unique.

The DS is so successful because of its unique design. There's nothing like it out there.

Problem with that now is that the phones come out with a new version every year and can easily copy whatever you do to make it unique

Me either, i like the ds lite how it is. I dont need 3d or other media.

@twestern  had a Gameboy Color and advanced. What games did the gameboy had that was not available in some form on the NES console???? Outside of Pokemon I cant think of any and at the end of the day Pokemon is just another RPG, the most popular GB games were Console offshoots anyway. Mario, Tetris, DK,etc

Not that there weren't platformers, but Kirby debuted on the Game Boy, and was then ported to console. So before it was ported, it was a 100% original GB game unlike any game out there. There's one.
