...no, I DO have the Wiiware demo on the Wii, but this was from, like, a year ago. It must have been taken down now...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

there  used to be a wiiware demo, which is how i gotten to tried it myself( and later bought it) but it think they took it down since it was before demos became somewhat normal on the wii.

I am almost sure that the number of people that buy internet games on the ipad is greater than the number of people that bought games online for the wii when world of Goo came out. Nintendo mentioned earlier that one of the harderst things for nintendo with the wii was to get people online and buying stuff. I am sure that is not a problem for the ipad.

Anywas, i am glad for the developers.

I am a nintendo fan, not a nintendo fanboy

Wii - $15
iPad - $5

Wii - New IP / 2008
iPad - Huge IP everyone knows about / Dec 2010.

Any questions?

It's the iPad sales that are impressive. The Wii version did good back then but considering the game was free on PC several times, the fact that so many people bought the game on iPad is impressive.

It doubled sales at one third of the price? What an amazing feat.

Yes, it is amazing, especially since a lot of people who already wanted the game already have it...

But seriously, did anyone expect it to sell poorly?

@Boutros- I agree. The iPad truly is a force to be reckoned with in the gaming world, it seems

It's bitter sweet really. Love Love Love world of goo, but don't care for apple too much. Oh well. Good for 2DBoy.

iPad version outsold the Wii version?

I wonder why that is. How many iPad's are out there?

14.8 million by the end of 2010. Installed base will probably be around 50 million by the end of this year.

This game plays really well on the iPad. Direct touch interaction suits it even better than pointer interaction.

Really? I've heard criticism about the difficulty even though it's the exact same game, I assumed it was down to harder-to-grasp controls...
