Forums - Nintendo - Lets talk about Pikmin!!

I love Pikmin!!

I have not played the NPC, but I'm assuming it is intuitive and free-roaming in it's reticle usage.  Add varied settings, great controls, and ample content, and I'll be more than happy.

Hopefully with the mass wii userbase Pikmin can sell.

I hope pikmin 3 follows pikmin 1's fomula, I want to feel likes it dangerous in that game. That way I don't do things carelessly

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true. 2nd UPDATE: I have no Switch 2. I am now behind

I really like Pikmin, I just wish NPC Pikmin 2 would release out here, as I don't want to get the GC version and a controller just to play one game.

They don't need new Pikmin or new abilities.  They just need to be more creative/complicated about how you use what you have.  The first game was pretty good at this, the second (with its reliance on randomly generated dungeons) got away from this.  Add the creativity from the first with to the added troops/berries/etc. of the second, and you can get a damned good game out of it.  Just no randomly generated dungeons this time please!

So you don’t want a PiranhaPikmin :O

The multiplayer in Pikmin 2 is one of the best things that ever happenned to the gaming universe. In Pikmin 3, I want online multiplayer.

That is all.

Yeah that would be really cool, both co-up and competitive play would be awesome!

1. i think they should keep the original Pikmin and give them new abilities, like yellow pikmin can stun enemies and activate electrical switches, red pikmin can set stuff on fire, and blue pikmin can....can...ill get back to you on that.

2. scrap white and purple pikmin in favor of one or two new pikmin types like green(that can camouflage themselves and sneak by enemies or something) and maybe fuzzy pikmin or something that can withstand cold temperatues and carry alot like the purple ones could.

3.more dynamic and challenging puzzles that really require you to think about your team and use you rescources more wisely.

4. greater variety in the regions, and regions need to more open, allowing  for several solutions to a problem like getting to a new area or finding a new whatever it is you'll need to find.

Im pretty interested in what nintendo will come up with as an excuse to return to the pikmin world.

It's funny you started this thread. A few hours before I saw this thread I had bought myself a copy of Pikmin 1 as I loved it back when I had previously owned it.

What new things were added to Pikmin 2, and is it worth getting as I have never played it...

I don't think they should make new pikmin for the next game, 5 is too much. They should add some new gameplay mechanics (just a little tweek, don't get any smart ideas, Nintendo).

Multiplayer was awesome, stick with it. Make Pikmin scary, as in the sense that you don't want to go into an area unless you've got the balls to do it. The world is self-explanatory, make it good, interesting, and dangerous.
