So how will this paid data work anyway?  I assume it couldn't be posted in the forums since that would kind of defeat the point.  Will the only place to discuss it be some sort of Pro only forum?  I'm talking about the new stuff like dollar estimates and such.  If there is some discussion on the normal forums speculating on something like that, will Pro members just have to hold their tongues?

Don't totally believe that it will be hushed, but Pro users will have access to parts of the site that haven't been launched. Its similar to how mods have access to the mod control panel and I have access to the writers control panel. We all have our own sections that we have access to. Pro users will be the same, your just purchasing access to a premium section.

I agree that the sales number is the only thing that distinguish this forum from others. The site would have never got my interest without it, specially considering every news or reviews are usually late.

SSJ12, do not forget that even users who do come here for the forum and not for the sales data, may have joined the site after reading a sales thread or searching for data. So in order to not allienate your current userbase and keep growing you will definitly have to up other areas of the site, like news and reviews. I personally think that is probably what IOI think of doing anyway.

In any case, the free tools that remain arent that bad either.

The site has just got greedier, first of all by threatening to lock people who use pop up blocker because it's cauing them to lose revenue, despite being one of the worst sites I've ever used for virus's and malware and now excluding the very people that made this site what it is from some of the standard features that up until now have always been available.

I very much hope they crash and burn.

we are pretty darn clean from what we were. I will admit out early advertisers were garbage, but now we are pretty good and have a lot of control on ads.
