Wooow O_O Thats  crazy amount of praise from the developers. If in NGP gets this kind of support everywhere we may just have found ourselves a winner.

Yeah, the only worry is (initially at least) we may see a lot of PS3 ports rather than new games. However, this could also be considerred a plus if they manage the cloud storage thing.

Yeah im interested to see how it goes ^^ I just hope that sony control just how many games get ported etc. Dont want to end up with 100 shovel ware games a day :/

I actually doubt we will see many PS3 ports initially ...

If games are being sold on flash memory, the cost of a large enough game card to hold most HD console games would translate into much higher game prices.

Not neccessarily. Most PS3 games are already multiplat and manage to fit on the 6.8Gb of a 360 DVD. With extra compression, slightly lower resolution art due to the small screen and remembering that the cost of ROM memory (not read/write flash) is actually quite cheap, especially for Sony who mass produce, then ports are actually relatively cheap and easy.

there is no point trying to argue with squirrel  he has done nothing but put down the NGP in every thread iv seen xD

Yeah i know my spelling sucks but im dysgraphic so live with it :3

Sony has a winner on their hands with this one :D they have made all the right moves so far. Devs are loving it. And wipeout..droooooool

but we will still see few posts saying lack of dev support or how much more expensive and difficult it is to make games for NGP is..... >_>

and about the number of games at launch, I think plenty of them will be there..most probably all the ones they listed at the Announcement event must have them already. Either way UC and Gravity Daze are all I need

This is great news and paints a great picture for NGP's future. Not only Sony is listening the devs by creating a hardware that's easier to create something for, they also added a good amount of controls and the very interesting rear touch pad. Plus, the better wifi connection then the original PSP and 3G is also something very nice to see.

Also, by the way they talked on this news, it seems like Europe is actually going to have NGP in 2011. I really hope to see the portable released worldwide simultaneously since there's a big possibility I'm going to buy it this year, that's if they release it on USA or Europe in 2011.

$299 or Lower, GTA, COD, Monster Hunter, Gran Turismo all early on And Sony has a Winner.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

i'll say -- if NGP only did ps3 games but cloud storage was availible -- i'd buy. xD

same here...Im such a fanboy...

that Wipeout thing is absolutely amazing...!

also Just give me NGP and Tomba for psOne on PSN, thats it for the start!

Promising stuff, sounds like Sony are really positioning this thing for support really well. We'll certainly see alot of support, and seems like a wide range of games from cheap downloadable stuff you'd expect on an iphone, to the mid-tier PSN / XBLA stuff to full games.

Obviously the fear is still that straight-ports for games might take over, but if the software market becomes competitive enough then publishers will need to create unique games to stand out and actually sell. We've not seen a bad word said by a developer yet about this thing though, so it seems Sony have really got things right on the developer side.

Good to hear them throw 2011 around alot for the release date too, and even better to see them distinguish between '2011' and 'holiday 2011'. Sounds like we could really see this thing before November...

Oh yea I'm going to start saving right now, 10 bucks a week (hopefully) will be enough.

Lol. It'd be a very cool feature although I heard it might be for PS Plus members only. I know from Steam it can have it's uses.

My nephew for instance is quite young and plays Portal, but he got stuck. So I logged into his account at my house, did the bit he was stuck on, saved, logged out and he could happily play again at his place :P.

I want it tomorrow :)
