Giving bad marks to highly expected games = hits = money from advertisement nowadays.
Also, too highly expected games can disappoint. You want it perfect, so every little flaw becomes a big deal.
Probably the best example of that being GT5. If it was GT1, everybody would have been blown by it, and the sales would have been very poor. But it's number 5, high expectations, high disappointment, but still high sales.
Anyways, I didn't play the game, so maybe 86 "only" is diserved.
