Figures. Terrible week for everything Nintendo. I hope that TLS was really suply constrained.

Ok. PS3 ahead of Wii on The Last Story launch week. Just imagine if that game was developed for PS3. But Hironobu Sakaguchi probably don't have good relations with Sony, after Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within "fiasco".

Hey, I like you, but I noticed a trend with Nintendo fans on VGC (perhaps it is also true for fans of anything and anywhere, but being a Nintendo fan that is what I notice) where those who come up with BIG (often illogical) expectations "just for the fun of it", if and when those expectations don't come true (which they usually don't, since they are illogical from the start) they are the first to shout out "failure", "terrible" etc, way before (and louder than) any Wii haters
.
These TLS numbers are just fine, they are just about what I expected.
Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

xD, I've noticed that, too, actually.
This is a different case, though. The Japan Preview, ioi and apparent first day sell-outs all indicated a much higher FW. You wouldn't've seen me disappointed had TLS done 150k or so FW, even if it was under my ridiculous oerpredictions.

Wasn't the first week shipment at 120,000? Why did people expect to sell more than that?

ok, fair enough.
Contrary to many though I took the news about the first shipment sold out with a grain of salt, especially since reading between the lines the "sold out"was somehow at the Nintendo->retailers level, and not all the shops apparently were actually sold out. Still, this is the first time a Mistwalker game gets to be no. 1 in any chart anywhere, so that's an achievement in itself.
