Ioi commented on this already in the "Holy crap" thread that this week did not include the surge and he is already estimating Wii numbers for next week at around 700k.

I think the real story is that people unable to find Wii's look to be buying a DS instead. Look at those incredible numbers!! With Japan it should be over 1.5m in a week. That's stupendous!!
Sony and MS have full access to all the market research firms info...they pay for it.Besdes they have internal data.
With only 1.8 million,plus existing stock in europe and japan....the wii can do good numbers selling old stock in japan and EU but not so much in stocless USA.
Wii still beats PS3 and and 360 in WW sales figures, even with the lack of stock in NA

Read ioi's reply on the other thread. Estimates of 600k Wii sold on Sunday the 16th... 600k.
wow, I guess that explains it. Over half a mil in one day, that will be reflected heavily in next weeks numbers, and with a couple more shipments coming in mid week, the wii might just be able to hit 1 mil, or just under 1 mil in a single week.
Unless "others" has a similar US like drop in next week's numbers. We will see.

Well the 600 K is NA alone, add in a few other shipments, and 100K plus in japan, and you've probably got 800-900K outside of others, so its likely Wii will break a million
