Well we can expect these kind of articles all year, but quite honestly I never tought that Nintendo Power (Nintendo's official mag) woul be the first one.

Its not really Nintendo's official Magazine anymore. Its owned and run from Future the only thing it has official is the liscense. I'd say Nintendo Power is also jumping the gun the DS still has years left in it despite 3DS. I'd expect to see DS games and systems on store shelves for another 3-5 years.

I still see bargain GBA titles for sale...

Fire Emblem so little love makes me a sad panda :'(

That's probably because the only current DS Fire Emblem was a pointless step back in refinement in order to preserve the archaic mechanics of the Famicom original. Not saying it was bad, but it doesn't compare to the fidelity found in the console FE games.

In an ironic twist of fate, March (the release of the 3DS) will be the month where all I'll be doing is playing the heck out of the DS with Pokemon Black/White and Okamiden. For me, this is the DS' best month ever... I'm pretty darn excited for both of these titles!

So most likely It wont be any 3DS cartridges in my 3DS at first, but DS cartridges.

DS is one of the best consoles ever. Definitely the king of RPG's this gen.

At least the 3DS is backwards compatible, so all is not lost.

Although, given the current state of the VC, I have little hope for the GB classics outside of Nintendo's own stable.

actually yes, and Pokemon Black/White is still on the way

Ds was awesome!!

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
