I was talking with a few of my friends about how open and closed minded we considered ourselves to be. It turned out to be a really interesting conversation. And it was quite weird in that people often disagreed with how open minded the other person thought they were.

I thought it would be a good topic to bring to VGChartz.

I'm not really afraid to admit that can often be closed minded. There are many things that I will almost instantly dismiss (The supernatural and conspiracy theories for example) without really giving a fair hearing to the people arguing the case.

So VGChartz, do you consider yourself to be open or closed minded?

I am in some things and not in others. I am close minded when it comes to certain things (conspiracies, some religions-although it's better than before, certain morals I believe in strongly) in others I'm just a fence sitter seeing both sides of the coin.

I'm not the sort of person who has a concrete opinion on everything. I change my mind a lot.

Most of ''open minded'' people I've met and who told me i need to be more open minded are hardcore liberatians, delusional pacifists, are sympathetic for gays and hippes, hardcore atheists and skeptics, so im guessing HELL NO, as im neither of these things. Thats not to say that all people who consider themselfes open minded are like that.

I consider myself really openminded but I prefer the old ways, yes sir.

Pretty close, I believe all people should try to experience as many things in life as possible and allow others to do the same. I guess I am just a subjective relitivist a heart who thinks if it is right for you than do it. We only live once and can never prove another reality after our deaths so I don't think we should be close minded and stop most actions of different cultures or individuals that refrain from harming others.

Not at all and, though I always try to look at things from my opposition's perspective, as well, it rarely makes me rethink my opinion.

I think what I think and there's no way you're gonna change that, even if I can empathize with your argument.

I try to be open minded and view things from different perspectives, in most cases atleast. However, when I feel that people just tries to push their faith or opinion down my throat, my mind usually responds with a blockade and sometimes a middle finger.

Nah, I'm not open minded at all. I'm liberal, but people often seem to mistake that for open-mindedness.

I'm a skeptic, I generally only believe in things after I have seen sufficient proof. I guess in some ways that makes me close minded, if somebody told me they had been abducted by aliens or had seen a ghost I simply wouldn't believe them.
