You've changed tack :/
Sure no console has bought those features but like with the PS3 / 360 / Wii comparison in terms of overall features it is really hard to anticipate ahead of time how meaningful they are and what other factors may over-ride them.

I just don't personally, and this is entirely opinion based, see what the 3DS can offer in terms of competition with the NGP outside of its 1st party lineup and the 3D effect of the screen. If it truley is revolutionary and amazing I think it may seal the deal for Nintendo but I think moveing more to an Iphone type set up will be a much larger deal. Just imagine the impact of a game the equivalent of Words With Friends but on the NGP would mean for sales with its robust online 3G component.
Price however as always will be King. And again this is all opinion and not meant as a knock towards Nintendo AT ALL, just personally if the NGP delivers what its promising to me all hype was killed for the 3DS, and I planned on buying it at launch.

It isn't just price we're talking about here, brand recognition of which the PSP is the third best, at best, at the moment with the Nintendo DS being first and the Apple iOS range being 2nd. You also have to consider vendor lock-in, especially as the Nintendo 3DS will play DS games and all iTunes content will carry forwards whereas Sony is starting from a significantly weaker positon on both counts.
When will NGP actually release? If the NGP releases in 2012 a full year or more after the release of the 3DS and iPad 2 as well as other various competing products it won't have the same luster on the market it would if it was releasing in a months time alongside the 3DS. Sony releasing this information now is to act as a spoiler to the 3DS launch but we still don't know when it'll actually get released. I wonder if it indeed was a 2011 product whether they would have stated that in their briefing. Sometimes no news is infact bad news.
Finally even with the NGP on the market, you'll have to consider that Nintendo will always have that cut priced $100-150 option in the NDS that Sony doesn't have. Nintendo can cover more of the market between the 3DS and the DS than Sony can cover with the NGP, so the question remains at the price point it eventually releases and and the form factor, how big a market can the NGP cover?
