This is why I throw my guts every time bush claims they are fighting "evil doers".

This will only convince another generation to hate america and fight to the death against them.

There will be many beheading videos as retaliation for the CIA treatment of prisoners of war.

I find it is best to try and ignore this stuff, as it doesn nothing to lift one's spirits. When it comes to government agencies hiding their activites from the general public, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the stuff we will never find out about.  Its really sad for both parties involved right now, those who were killed in the attacks, and those who are being unjustly accused/punished because of certain religous and cultural ties. This is the way the world is though, its best to accept that atrocities will be carried out everyday no matter what. If it isnt one dictator, it is another. There hasn't been peace on this planet since the first humans inhabited it. Man has constantly been at war with himself for thousands of years, don't expect our inherently evil nature to disappear anytime soon.

Are you people serious? Sorry but I have literally zero empathy for a group of people who deliberately slaughter women and children with a primary goal of instilling terror in the civilian population...I would tell you what I would prefer done to them but I think that language isn't allowed on these boards.

Some people need to wake the hell up and realize that this isn't a game of backgammon. This is war, and you can either play to win..or you will lose. You can touchy feely rationalize that all you want, but at the end of the day war is a reality and just because you don't want to deal with it doesn't mean it is going away.

This is why a peaceful solution is so preferable to me, because I do recognize that it is distasteful, but once the war is on, as far as I'm concerned all bets are off.

Problem is, ignorance isn't bliss. Ignore it for so long and you might just become the victim even you've done nothing wrong. Torture has been proven to be ineffective.

You can get anyone to admit to anything with torture, regardless of method.

The people that welcome torture are the ones not receiving them. It's a tool for them. Fear is a wonderful control tool.

The ones that claimed it isn't torture should definitely take a swimming lesson.

The way some news worded it make it sounds like nothing and most people will not give it a second thought thinking it's a none issue.

I have no problem with them getting the death sentence as long as they are guilty. However, "suspect" is pretty much an iffy.

 War is just a word that is thrown around to fit in with what the USA and her allies want to achive.  You can just say "fight fire with fire" but that makes us no better than the terrorists in the first place. Its a sick time when people in the west support torure because their governments have them rabid at the mouths for repercussion and revenge. Waterboarding puts the USA and her allies in the exact same camp as the so called "axis" its trying to fight in the first place. The terrorists arent born evil murdering motherf***ers they feel the same anger towards you that you do when they kill women and children. So  if everyone keeps pissing on each others barbeque where does it end? Whoever has the biggest keg wins but we both eat piss flavoured steaks for centuries untill that happens

If they were convicted I would have no problem with it, but this is a bit for for suspects.  What would they do if the suspects were proven innocent?

The USA is no better than the people they claim to be evil. They claim to be a beacon of democracy whereas all I can see them as is the worst possible example of an actual democracy in the world.
