The thing with the PS3 and 360 in Europe is they are always quite close. As those numbers show that is about what 85% of EU sales? The UK numbers obviously really help the 360 to stay in it. Without those numbers the 200k gap would be a lot more. As it is the gap is only about 15k on average a month between the two. So when you do the NPD numbers with the Japan numbers and these EU numbers you see 360 is almost 1m ahead of PS3 for the year.
But it is the other regions in EMEAA which pull it back. If you do "other" region for the same period PS3 sold 1.7m. Compared to just 600k for the 360. That is the Asia,Africa and Middle East regions. When we get the numbers next thursday we will see if they are close or not. If they are not then it could make the yearly totals even more closer. If lower then could even say 360 outsold PS3 worldwide for the year. From 10th of jan to the end of the year i think the gap is about 500k in PS3 favour. So these are really interesting numbers and show Europe doesn't have a very big gap between the two at all for 2010.

Wait so you are saying that....africa, middle east and asia made up for the almost 1 million difference between the 360 and ps3 ??? Seriously ?? When the ps3 sold less than 9 million in almost all big markets combined
, it covered a 1 million difference with ...africa and middle east ??
Whatever WE FINALLY HAVE SOME SOLID NUMBERS so this stupid speculation about how the ps3 is destroying the xbox360 is Europe can be put to rest. Oh and WW xbox360>>Ps3 in 2010 and things will be even better in 2011 with kinect in full swing.

You forgot the thirth big market in EU... Italy... so PS3 > 360 in EMEAA by a lot in 2010.
And PS3 sold more in WW than 360 in 2010 too.

and you forget markets like Canada and Australia that follow the U.K and the U.S in buying habits . Oh an where is the proof that Italy is the 3rd big market in Europe ?? I thought that U.K, Germany and France were much bigger and possibly even Spain. The fact of the matter is that in what is basically 85 to 90% of Europe the ps3 has a 200k lead over the 360 in yearly sales .
Again these numbers (which are basically worldwide sales) show a big difference in favour of the xbox360 and dispel many myths .

No. Italy is on pair with Germany in EU... over Spain... UK > France > Germany = Italy > Spain for PS3.
And UK, France, Germany and Spain is just 50% of EMEAA sales.
PS3 WW > 360 WW in 2010.
Edit - Why I forget Canada, Australia and US in Europe numbers???
