The thing with the PS3 and 360 in Europe is they are always quite close. As those numbers show that is about what 85% of EU sales? The UK numbers obviously really help the 360 to stay in it. Without those numbers the 200k gap would be a lot more. As it is the gap is only about 15k on average a month between the two. So when you do the NPD numbers with the Japan numbers and these EU numbers you see 360 is almost 1m ahead of PS3 for the year.
But it is the other regions in EMEAA which pull it back. If you do "other" region for the same period PS3 sold 1.7m. Compared to just 600k for the 360. That is the Asia,Africa and Middle East regions. When we get the numbers next thursday we will see if they are close or not. If they are not then it could make the yearly totals even more closer. If lower then could even say 360 outsold PS3 worldwide for the year. From 10th of jan to the end of the year i think the gap is about 500k in PS3 favour. So these are really interesting numbers and show Europe doesn't have a very big gap between the two at all for 2010.
