They seem to have trouble with the new firmware. Sony put in a new key which they cannot decrypt and is using it in some way to stop custom packages

The hackers finally hack it ( 1 for hackers), and apparently a bunch of them wind up with bricked consoles (-1 point for hackers).  Now, Sony comes out with an update and they are getting the ban hammer put on them as well (-1 point for hackers, 1 point for Sony).  Seems to me the hackers actually went negative in this battle.  Now, you're going to have some  people who still REALLY want to play Black Ops, so they'll go buy another PS3, and Sony will make more profit ( 1 for Sony)

Score: Hackers: -1; Sony: 2
