I just wish we had the epic battle of 2009 back! That year had an awesome finale!

You do realize that most of the development have now switched over to the Wii U right? This is pretty much the last hurrah for the Wii. Next year Nintendo will drop the price under $100 and call it a night. Then they will launch the Wii U which will hopefully be 100% B/C with the Wii. I think the Wii will be discontinued sometime in 2013. It still won this generation and will easily sell over 90 million units. I don't see the PS3 or XBox 360 reaching those numbers. The next XBox will be out in 2013 and I expect the PS4 will follow suit.

Wii definitely had a lot more potential than that, it started selling less when Ninty almost stopped big SW releases for it, and it plummeted when WiiU was announced in a way that made its predecessor look already obsolete. Being now low price, and going to drop further, a wider series of budget edition titles (wider than those currently available) would perfectly cater for its now even more widened potential target, but Ninty must not let HW sales drop too much before doing this, otherwise lifting them again could become almost impossible (despite budget price, $99 can still be considered an important purchase for low income families, so they won't spend even that sum if they feel the product has a too short life left).
This (ending 23rd Oct) was one of the dullest Autumn weeks in Jpn, except for 3DS stellar performance. Nevertheless PS3 won again more than 2:1... Oh well, it could be worse, PSP beat DS almost 9:1...

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.
PS3 has already won. The over 530K lead is only going to get larger in the coming weeks. Also, FF13-2 is going to see to it that the PS3 wins.
Not even Kirby was enough for Wii to win, but it still has two huge 1st party guns to fire, let's wait and see what they manage to do.
This week's PS3 victory is dwarfed by 3DS, that sells more than all the other platforms, home and portable, combined.
