So last night after just over 3 years my PS3 finally tapped out with the Ylod. I put in ME2 , played for an hour and boom(no pun intended) Ylod happens. On a side note , i am having one of weeks because my 360 of course which is just outside of warranty gets  the ol Rrod. So now that i am console less, i am starting my road back to gaming this Friday when i buy a new PS3.

Now onto my question, i recently backed up my now dead PS3 to an external HD 3 weeks ago with the back up feature, and at that time i had 950 trophies. As of yesterday, i have 1015 trophies after beating the GoW collection and i did sync everything up as well. So when i get a new PS3 and restore the old data into the new, will my trophies go back down to 950?   or will the server still show my accurate number once i sync up again? 

I know i won't have any save game files in between that time, but i do have a thumb drive with all my save files on that anyways, i just don't want to do the GoW games over again to get trophies that i just recently got, Any assistance on this would be appreciated.

Really? Then how come when i switched HDD on my PS3 all my trophies where gone? And then when i synced them back there was an error and now i am trophie less? I don't really care though, since excatly like achievements they are just epeen.

Even though you have all your saves on a thumb drive, if any of those say copy-protected your not gonna get them back. =/
