Forums - Gaming - Fascinating difference between console and PC

The most recent Penny arcade has a very interesting article about Monday Night Combat.

Essentially it is talking about the differences that are being made/patched in the PC version to make it different from the 360 version so the game it is just as balanced.

It's amazingly interesting to read the differences between how 360 and PC are played and realize that most big budget multi-player games probably suffer because they exactly don't do this and instead make both games as similiar as possible.

I'll have to bookmark that for any future M&K vs gamepad threads I find myself unable to stop replying to.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

The sad thing is it used to be pc to console conversions, now we have con sole to pc conversions. The console versions introduced all the auto aim helps. Now they have to nerf the pc version even further to keep it competitive with a twin stick pad.

PC used to be the lead platform for fps, nowadays you're lucky if you can use the mouse cursor in the menus :/ The ability to instantly look left/right behind you is much more natural then rotating your head on a turret. Fps games that use the variable turn speed on consoles tend to give me motion sickness unfortunately.

Best control scheme would be a nunchuck for movement and a mouse for looking/aiming. I'm afraid move isn't going to help me much with killzone 3 unless they figure out how to do precise quick turns with it. Because unlike with the mouse that would leave you pointing away from the screen...

Pc : it does only everything and beyond since 1970's... and does not crash on 28th of february ^^

Well there isn't cross play.  They aren't nerfing the PC version to protect the console players.  They are nerfing classes that require aiming like snipers because with the superior controls it's so much easier to snipe.

For example Team Fortress 2.   Snipers are MUCH more deadly on PC because they can shoot other PC players heads much easier.
