Hacking your own system and doing whatever you want with it is fine by me but hindering other people's experience in games such as CoD4 is just plain wrong. Make them cry.

Yeah but the people taking JTAG consoles online are often doing so to make money. They setup Cod lobbies then hack so it gives out silly amounts of XP so the players in the game prestige in one game. Obviously they arrange the time with players to join the game and take money up front. The console will get banned a few hours down the line but then they just flash a new Keyvault (console ID) into the console and they're able to go online yet again.
Ultimately a banned JTAG box doesn't mean the end of that 360 being able to connect to Live like a genuine retail 360. Full credit to MS though for still consistantly making it hard for the hackers to go about their business on Live.

OMG that would be hilarious.
Not to mention, this would probably force a few of those people to buy new PS3's. It's a win-win for Sony.
this will only hurt afew hackers before the word gets out, unless you have to update as some as you turn on your ps3 before entering the xmb so that could stop people from hacking online games... or maybe the update will make hackers more visible to sony
