I still say you're reaching. The article says nothing about fees for using more discs.

Now I was reading about PGR4 having to remove content. Apparently they wanted to do some sort of effect that that changes from day and night. But apparently to accomplish this they needed more space for textures. It had nothing do with the cost of an extra disc. They just didn't want players swapping discs for a weather effect.

I forgot to mention that Rage will be on two discs by the way. That was announced a while back. You may want to read this article, it actually makes a mention about using an extra disc has cost but not royalty fees from MS... http://www.shacknews.com/featuredarticle.x?id=1001

Finally, Lost Planet 2. Assuming they did remove content to fit it on a single DVD, well we already know Capcom is cheap. They are the same people who sell bullshit DLC. Don't forget on SSFIV for PS3 you don't see DLC costumes unless you bought them. Simply because Capcom doesn't want to pay Sony bandwidth cost for free DLC.

I guess it is one of the only advantages of BR... disc size :p

 

then again 3 discs isn't much for a compilation anyways.

 

And...trilogies aren't new to the PS3, there's been tons on PC and all have been better looking than the original (cause by the time it comes out, you have a PC running everything on high with added 3D that didn't even exist back then).

If someone wants KOTOR 1,2 and Jade Empire in HD buy pc. Those games run without problems at high resolutions.

bottom line is if you was going to buy 3 remastered games in a collection or even 2, then ps3 is the best way to go

Beyond Good and Evil HD.

But I suppose it would be because 360 is backwards compatible, whereas PS3 does not have that feature. I'd love to see an HD Mechassault 1 and 2 with the new Mechwarrior 5 . . . if it can get a publisher ;_;

I do not consider myself a fan boy console. In fact, I own the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and accept the taste of console-exclusive on both systems. However, recently, I must confess that I admire Sony's recent efforts to make versions of classic games in HD. I bought God of War series and plan to buy Prince of Persia, and the team ICO collections in the future.
