People on VGChartz seem to believe that a 30 day period for 15 dollars is the devil but 59.99 for a 10 hour game is worth it. So I'm not exactly sure.

You can replay a 10 hour game anytime you want, ever.

Though I wouldn't pay 60 bucks for a 10 dollar game without multiplayer.

For 15 dollars you get a whole months worth of unlimited content. Much better value.

15 dollars?  You mean... 60.

Which, it isn't unless you both have a lot of time on your hands, and actually use it to play DC Universe online and not something else.

Not to mention the majority of most MMO's content is basically the equivlent of "grinding" the same things over and over again.

I was interested in this game but most likely i'll never buy it. I already play WoW and that game is perfection in my eyes.

If they had made this game $60 , but used the free to play online model (where its free to play but to get the best items you have to drop a couple of dollars) that other MMO's use I would have got it day 1.  But I'm not going to pay $15 a month for something I probably would end up getting to play but a few hours a week.  Though I'm sure its a good game.  Hopefully, down the line Sony will change the payment structure.

Edit:  Actually one of my friends was ready to buy this on launch day til I made him aware of the $15/month fee.  He though that was only for the PC version.  Well, there was 2 sales gone.

I tried like hell to buy it on Friday but it was sold out at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Gamestop.  I assume the game was either a big hit or Sony shipped a limited number of copies (PS3 version).

They had plenty of copies at my gamestop.

isn't gamestop where you buy used games in the US? if they have many that would explain something... :p

GameStop sells new and used games. There are many other outlets that sell them now as well.

Meh I have been playing World of Tanks beta since august and haven't even pay a single eurocent for it so far.

And when it goes retail i can still play it free if i don't mind slower exp gains.

Which is why every MMORPG fails.  WoW does it every time.

I'm incredibly interested in DCUO, but there's no way I'll ever pay $15/mo to play any game online.
