I agree, Gears 3 was terrible. And that ending, could you believe it? I never would have guessed that Marcus Fenix was actually Nathan Drake from the future where Sony took over the world and transformed all the Xbox fanboys into horrible mutant lambent. What a terrible twist. Deserves 2 copies sold, maybe. Although I did like the Rainbow Unicorn costume varient for Dom . . . but the surprise karaoke at the ending where they all sing the latest Justin Beiber songs was too much.
OT: If they ditched the horribly sterile and overdone "lolmilitary vs aliens" theme of 2 and go back to the original nitty-gritty dark shooter that started the whole trend in the first place I'd hope it does do ten mil. Frankly Gears 2 was lucky to even get what it sold, imo, whereas Gears 1 should've sold even more.

Truthfully I just find that the game has become boring. No matter how many coats of paint you put over old gameplay to "improve" it, it still ends up basically the same. This is why I hate shooters in general. They can be fun, but unless they have all their mechanics right while adding new dimension then its a generic game not worthy of anything above an 8/10. Be very glad there isn't any new Halo or Gears shooters for PC, I would not be nice to it in any means just because of its hype. Halo: CE, Gears, and Halo 2 PC all were generic with everything they had to offer and was done many of times before hand, and better on PC.
