Final Fantasy XIII for me is the greatest example of a good idea with bad execution. Final Fantasy XIII definitely isn't the worst Final Fantasy, I felt FF12, 2, 11 and 14 were much weaker but it definitely is nowhere near the likes of FF6-9.

It had some very good things but bad things for every good thing (which is why its so polarising in my opinion) which just ended up with me playing what I felt was a mediocre game. However 1 positive is that one of the redeeming features of the game (Lightning) is in FFXIII-2 and that we actually have a proper villain (from the teaser trailer) and they are just evolving the already present battle system (which was good).

pretty much my opinion on 13-2 right now. The only thing I liked about 13 was the battle system and I hope they improve upon that on the sequel.

without a shadow of a doubt. i cant wait to get this game, its now my most hyped game. Final Fantasy 13 was my GOTY 2010. Infact if theres a collectors editions ill be getting that aswell.

Maybe, I need to see more of it. I didn't love nor hate FFXIII, it didn't leave me anticipating a sequel but I wasn't feeling fed up with it either.

So far I think Lightning's new armour looks ridiculous on her, but I can live with that if a considerable part of the game turns out to be promising.

I'll buy it, although FF13 definitely wasn't my favorite FF. I guess I'll pick up the jpn version again.

Could you elaborate on that because frankly I think she is the worst protagonist in a FF (VI to XIII).

Probably. I liked FFXIII and I'm fairly confident they're going to improve what was wrong in FFXIII here. Also, I especially loved Lightning (<3) and the world in FFXIII and it seems they're both going to be present in this one as well. So yeah, I can't say much about this one yet but right now I'm definitely interested.
