I won't be buying it mostly because I can't stand that Ice Queen bitchy Lighting, in fact I don't trust Square anymore will probably ask some friend to lend me a copy of Versus XIII (if that game ever release)

XIII is the weakest single player Final Fantasy title I've played so far(apart from the spin-offs ofcorse).

It had uninteresting characters,attempts to execute old ideas again (like the train scene in the beggining and Lightnings striking resemblance to Cloud),Incredibly boring first half that was all about walking in a straight line battling the same enemies over and over again with a battle system so automated that it should insult you all as gamers,and the lamest,simplest and most absurd plot in any Final Fantasy title.There was no depth to it at all,and they were trying to cover that up with character development, which sucked so bad that it would make uwe boll proud(i you don't know him,check wiki).Now they are even admitting their past inability to provide depth by writting mythological nonsense that they are gonna use for the sequel and the spin-offs.Well,too late .

Among many other things Operation Nora,Snow's one-dimensional character and the attempts of the creators to intrigue us by suggesting that the Oerba girls are lesbians are things that should make people who are gamers and love a good story and RPGS regret that they ever bought this game.I for one did.And you shouldn't let your love for a franchise blind you.The right thing to do if you love something is to be critical of its flaws.That's what  makes things right in the future.

But unfortunately we have seen the future of Square-Enix and its name is Final Fantasy XIV.

And ,to answer your question,no,I won't buy FF XIII-2.I wont help Square-Enix become richer by milking an already mediocre title.

Will wait for reviews instead of first day buy, If FFxiii-2 is meant to answer the problems we had with FFxiii then sure why not but if not SE can suck it.

Didn't buy FFXIII either, so nope probably not. Since even if this game is better, i still have yet to play FFXIII and i don't like it.

I pretty much have to buy it. The main problem I had with FFXIII is that the game--the story especially--seemed unfinished; I stated as much in another thread. I hate unfinished stories, so I have to purchase the game to get some peace of mind, or closure.

I do too, i'm still waiting on SE to finish the FF7 and KH story....damn prequels.

No. There is a place in concept development hell for FFXIII characters. Just shitty job on that part of the Nova realm. Thank goodness for Versus.

I'm not through playing the first one yet. I bought it new for the 360 around christmas time for $20. I've put in 30 hours, and I can say that it is a very unique final fantasy. It is really annoying how the game is so linear, and the characters can be really annoying too, but I do like the battle system(still getting used to it). I probably will get it on the 360. I will just wait til it drops down to $20. :)

If they make it a fully featured RPG again, then I am buying it. Give me content like DQ9 and I will love it.
