The auto-save doesn't save every time, people. You need to press start to auto-save. To not save, simply quit to the XMB(by pressing the PS button). However it does automatically save if you go to some other level or nexus or kill a boss or something.

I don't think that's really true... every time you see a lil' blue sphere in the left/right corner, it's saving... and it occurs while you kill regular enemies, heal, etc.

It definitely doesn't save when I heal, because I've tried this trick to see if it works and it did. But it might save when I kill someone.

I am 100% sure it saves every time you pause it though.

You can't pause the damn thing, it's relentless :P

I fought Maneater last so he was a bit easy for me but yea he managed to take almost all of my life bar didn't see that other dude coming.

you can cheat the game to make it very easy what i did is start with a mage got that ring that makes you less visable to enemys and kept sneaking up on the red eyed knight use the fireball then run away then go back and do it again and keep doing that until he dies and if you keep doing that you get pretty strong

Yeah I had to resort to that tactics. Farmed him until I got super strong, like level 22 or something, and was able to clear the level and kill Phalanx easily.

The auto-save features works:

- Everytime you enter a menu.
- Everytime you got a item.
- Everytime you kill a boss.
- Everytime you dead.
- Everytime you go to Nexus or enter in a world.
- Everytime you buy something (after go out the menu)

Not auto-save:

- Killing a regular enemies.
- Using magic or miracles.

Forget any other?

huh? you can't lvl up if you haven't killed Phalanx

By far my favourite game this generation, exploring a world hasn't been as fun as this since Super Metroid. Getting the platinum trophy was immensely satisfying.

In particular Maiden Astrea (?) was an amazing boss fight, if you can call it that. I can't praise this game enough (though farming for the pure bladestone was hellish).

I really can't wait to play this game, reading the description it looks the exact type of RPG I enjoy. Will need a PS3 first though >_> And a damn HD tv.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Well something must have gotten stronger in me because it became much easier when I had farmed like 60,000 souls from the Red Eye Knight. Or was it just that I bought tons of grass with that money to heal myself through the level? I don't remember, but I felt like I was cheating.
