Forums - Microsoft - DANCE CENTRAL - Best Dance Game EVER in the history of the World

Is Dance Masters really bad?  I hear ton about Dance central and nothing about Dance Masters.  It is well stocked in the US, I always see it next to Dance Central in stores.

Dance Masters is okay, but the music is not as good.

Lots of J-Pop type stuff.  Just not on same level as Dance Central, but still solid

I Wish that game would come for the PS Move somehow.

Dance Masters isn't just bad compared to Dance Central. Dance Masters is a shitty dancing title period.

Dance Central is easier to get into, the dance steps are fun to do, good licensed music track list, everything just feels right about it. I think its the current benchmark of how dance games should be made.

Dance Masters on the other hand does almost everything wrong. The dances are dumb, very difficult to follow, and you seem to achieve high scores even if you do poorly which is unsatisfying. The tracklist is almost entirely unknown songs and annoying Japanese pop crap like the DDR games. The abysmal sales of Dance Masters is no surprise.

Dance Dance Revolution X is still the best dancing game on the market. It actually allows two players to play at a time, which is absolutely necessary when it comes to a dancing game in this day and age.

I'm actually buying this machine:

http://www.highway.net.au/products/dance-dance-revolution/10230-2.html

Luckily, I've found a partner to go halvies on the price, but it's staying in my house. Now I don't need to drop $2 a pop on the damn machine at my local arcade, I'll miss the crowds that gather for every battle though. Can't wait to get my dance on!

Dancing games where you step on squares? What archaic technology.

If you enjoy that I also recommend this...

I don't get it, do you think I need maths lessons or something?

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Unfortunately, that is impossible. Dance Central doesn't just use hand controls for songs. It uses your whole body, especially the feet. That is what separates it from every other game - every other game only focuses on hands (Just Dance) or feet (DDR).

I've only played the demo (gonna buy the full thing), but the animations in the game are arguably the best I've ever seen.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

My god, played some JD2 today. Boy was I addicted, ended up doing that Sympathy for the devil song, which was a bit weird rubbing my body ._., me and a friend were like WTF when that song came on. He did Toxic by Britney Speers, I recorded, suuuuuch an amazing blackmail tool ahahaha.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

It is,but it's not like it has a lot of competition or something like that .
