Yep judging by sales, by the end of this week it should be around 61 million.  By the end of the next week's sales data around 62.5 million.  And then another 750k in the last week of December, as sales will drop in Europ/Other and America but be pretty high in Japan.

Oh and also, that's a very interesting graph. It shows how Wii is even bigger than DS. OMG Johnlucas was right, wii will hit 60 million even faster, just not next year though. In week number 112-136 if I extend the blue line.

Week 112 is in fact only 2-3 weeks after What JL predicts you know.

I still say that if things stay the same, Wii will be around 43-47m at the end 2008.

Let's see: 19m or so by Jan 2008.
1.8m / month for 6 months.
2.5m / month for 6 months. (I think Nintendo will increase production again by mid year.

1.8 * 6 = 10.8m
2.5 * 6 = 15m

so, 19 + 10.8 + 15 = 44.8m.

I am probably under estimating how much Nintendo will increase production by, but, that is how I am seeing things so far.

 Thats providing Nintendo manages to continue selling every Wii they make. Not improbable with the way things are going, but to keep demand like that up for 2 years running will be insane.

On a side note, did you notice that Others is now the biggest market of both the DS and PS3?
