Forums - Sales - The DS is selling out

Selling out if not sold out in UK too.

Cex buying them for £123 cash and selling for £165 which is crazy when you can usually buy them for £89.99 - £99.99

Whoa. Expect Nintendo to toot many horns this week. And next week.

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

nintendo doesnt need to toot horns, they just let their sales do the talking.

how long until it blasts through the 100k barrier. next year?

I want wii fit and I want it now

No... should take 90mil in November/December though i reckon. And might pass 95mil too. [assuming Ninty ups production a little more... they are supposedly at 2.2million p/month for DS, that is 26.4mil to add to whatever they end this year on]

OMG wow, i didn't realise, those numbers I just said put it really really close to 90mil before 2009.
If DS can end this year with 63.5mil, they don't even need to increase production to make 90 mil in 2008

Scary.

Yeah, but the supply seems much better this year and it's still selling out.

DS's brand is collosal. Everyone and their dog will be buying it.

Not to mention the dog's tics.

Yep can't forget about them either. So if dogs bought a Nintendo DS, would they play Nintendogs or Brain Training?

Both, they'd have two.

Nah, they'd prefer torturing Catz.

I would like to see it keep selling like this, but there is a market saturation point, right?

Well, theres only 6 billion people in the world...I think thats the limit for the DS.

There may be a limit, but we aren't anywhere even close to it. The USA hasn't even tapped into the Brain Training crowd like the UK and Japan yet.
