Forums - Sony - Anybody effected by "the hack" yet?

I just read an article (somewhere on N4G) that said MW2 was hacked  and that it's unplayable. I haven't played MW2 so I don't know if it's and exaggeration or what. I played Black Ops a few weeks ago and I didn't notice anything. I heard it's only effecting COD games.

What about you guys? have you seen any hackers running around? in What games?

I hope they don't hack LittleBigPlanet 2!

it is an exaggeration. I mean obviously xbox live/ steam dont have these problems(sarcasm).

What is there worth hacking on LBP2?  It isn't a competitive game so would you really be bothered?

I know, it was a joke...

heard they made a ps3 version of Patapon with several hundred extra pata's and Pon's :P

ot: nope not really, not playing MW2 these days so that might be why. As long as these numbnuts stay away from KZ3 then I'll be happy

When was MW2 never "hacked"? The game has been a glitch fest since launch, so IW blaming these "hacks" on MW2 due to the recent PS3 hack is stupid. The 360 has been hacked for years now and i'm positive these hackers have affected their servers/online experiences just the same.

I picked up DCUO last week when the game launched, and yes I was afraid that the recent hacks would affect such a game, but I have found no problems thus far.

I've been avoiding online games ever since these "hacks" story began to appear as I knew it was only a matter of time. eventually I plan to go back to Demon's Souls and attempt to go online but I hope the hackers don't beat me to it.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

umm i was really dissapointed that ps3 didn't get those mw2 hacks the xbox were getting an while back on MW2.

Like the private match glitch that turns private match into an real game so you could have 18 play unlimated free for all on rust. and top it off with unlimited ammo and you get that video were the guy gets 100s of kills by unlimited shooting of Ac-130 big gun.

edit: also COD WAW on xbox had an heap of hacks ps3 didn't either like the ones were you could defuse the bomb from other side of map or instantly spawn on bomb.

has the PS3 with this hack reach that point yet?

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Well,I haven't tried mw2 but cod 4 is unplayable! everysingle lobby is hacked, infinite noobtubes, running at super speed, level up to 10th prestige in just a few minutes! gosh its terrible!.

And they even post links to the youtube accounts of the hackers!

I mean come on!

Im all for hacking as long as you don't ruin everyone's experience!

I myself hacked my ps3 but only use it for snes and nes emulators

Well MS uses the banhammer on hackers and who wants to pay for Live to get banned? So it really isn't an issue on the 360.

However, who's gonna get rid of hackers on PS3 games? Sony only maintains servers for their games. I doubt they wanna invest money looking for hackers. PSN is already running at a loss.

The flood gates may just be opening. It will likely become a bigger issue on PS3 than it ever has been on the 360.

I think we're all blowing this a little big out of proportion. I don't think we'll see any games hacked as badly as MW2 for a long time, if it ever happens at all. Sony will be banning hackers left and right, especially on their first party studios. So I'm not too worried, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Killzone 3 and others should be alright.
