Do these online petitions actually work?  Hard to say but it never hurts to try.

I, and many others, still believe that a western release is planned just so far unannounced but a petition is going around just to help nudge Nintendo a little.

It's way too high-production-value a game for either end to turn down, unless Nintendo just feels that it's too much more of an investment to dub all the lines of dialogue compared to possible Western sales. That is the only possible reason it would stay in Japan

I'm still positive that it's coming but I signed it anyway.

I signed like 3 days ago, saw the news on Destructoid. It doesn't hurt to do it and can make Nintendo notice that there are people outside of japan interested on its games.

There have been over 100 new signatures added since I posted this thread.  That's a pretty good rate.  If it were to hold 100 per hour as it has this previous hour, we should hit ~10,000 in 24 hours.

To be honest if the game is good enough it'll get fan translated and become available for hacked Wiis.
