I got the uDraw Game Tablet in December 2010 and have had it for about 3 weeks now. After buying and playing all 3 launch games I can now say that uDraw is a success. In my opinion uDraw is one of the better things to come to gaming in 2010 and both uDraw Studio and Pictionary are up for my personal G.O.T.Y 2010.
The uDraw Game Tablet itself is very nice being well made and sturdy. I had no problems with it getting dirty or breaking while playing...you could use the stylus to try and scratch the drawing area and nothing will happen. It fits comfortably on your lap or even drawing on the floor is very easy and comfortable. Also, those worried about being left handed and not being able to use uDraw shouldn't worry at all...left handers can use uDraw with ease and no problems.
uDraw Studio comes bundled with uDraw for $70 and is well worth the money in my opinion...I don't really like to draw much but this thing is very interesting and fun. You have many different options to choose from while playing and many special effects to add on to your drawings later. I drew 7 pictures so far and while my first one was terrible and a little scary the last 2 were amazing...for me as I can't draw LOL. As I said uDraw Studio is easily in my top 5 games of 2010 and has the potential to be my G.O.T.Y.
Pictionary is sold for $30 and makes good use of uDraw. Its very similar to the classic board game but at the same time adds new aspects of the game that makes it fun. In my opinion the uDraw version of Pictionary is funner than the regular version and its on the T.V for a bigger view of the picture. Pictionary is a very fun family multi-player game that is also easily in the top 5 games of 2010 and has the potential to not only be the best family game of 2010 but G.O.T.Y 2010 as well!
Dood's Big Adventure is also $30 and makes use of uDraw. Though Dood's Big Adventure can be fun it doesn't really compete against Studio or Pictionary and is the unwanted step brother or sister of the 3. While D.B.A isn't bad its not all that good either. There are 4 playable modes in the game that all make use of uDraw and while customizing your characters and enemies can be fun at 1st it gets annoying trying to color in all the objects and background animals. Out of the 4 different modes 2 are actually fun while the other 2 are...frustrating and pointless. In the end D.B.A does stand out on uDraw...in a bad way as it is the only non impressive or fun launch game and while it would be excellent fun for kids...your likely find it more annoying and irritating then fun...especially when your "dood" decides to talk LOL.
Overall the uDraw Tablet, uDraw Studio, and Pictionary are all very fun and innovating while D.B.A would be a waste of money unless you have kids or don't mind the annoyingly kid friendly feel.
