i doubt PSP2 will have 3D, and id rather see PSP2 launch at ~$199 without 3D then ~299 with it just because 3DS is going to be around $300 at launch (given the price point in japan)

Look I'm not saying 3D is a fad but I definitely think it will be a lot later than 2017 before it sees its way into the average home. Not every home even has HDTV yet, let alone 3DTV. I don't see 3D as necessary for the PSP2. I think it'll do just fine with a normal HD screen.
