Look I'm not saying 3D is a fad but I definitely think it will be a lot later than 2017 before it sees its way into the average home. Not every home even has HDTV yet, let alone 3DTV. I don't see 3D as necessary for the PSP2. I think it'll do just fine with a normal HD screen.
