They're over-rated by critics, but not by true Call of Duty players. Most people I play with agree CoD4 was the best Call of Duty ever and the series has gone downhill since then.

Yeah, critics seem to have a huge hardon for the Call Of Duty series. I never played COD4, played both MW2 and Black Ops, and found them to be mildly entertaining, but I just don't think they deserve the praise they get.

Call Of Duty is a huge franchise now, Activision knows that, the next one will sell shit loads, no matter what the quality of the game is like.

My only question is how long will it last?

Oh that's too bad you missed out on CoD4. It was truly the best CoD game, and I've played them all except the 360 version of CoD2 (I played the PS2 version) and the PC versions.

Yeah I don't think they deserve so much praise either.
