Cool.  Elena > Chloe IMO.  I like Drake better with her too; their personalities even each other out nicely.

Elena even kinda resembles her voice actor, Emily Rose who stars in SyFy's "Haven" (should be back this summer).  She's a great actress and quite attractive, too.

New Uncharted 3 info emerges

Naughty Dog recently released a new trailer for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception which introduced you to the game’s main villain as well as showcase some features of the game. The team was present over at GDC 2011 and they talked about UC 3 in detail over there.

Today, we discover a few details regarding the game, which includes the 3D tech used in the game as well as the various fire effects that the game will be incorporating.

3D:

  • The 3D support for the game was planned from the beginning and isn’t a feature forced mid-way through development.
  • The 3D tech is being made from scratch and has been fully integrated into the game’s engine.
  • The 3D tech will also benefit the visual rendering of the 2D version of the game.
  • The 3D experience will try to re-create all the feelings of the player in-game and transfer them to you, such as the feeling of dizziness during certain section of the game.

Fire Effects:

  • The particle system the game has been reworked to make the most spectacular fire-effects possible.
  • The intensity and execution of fire clearly give the impression that the player is trapped in the fire
  • The fire will affect the environment, it can open up new paths and can be used in combat as you can shoot certain razing items to make them collapse, assisting you in battle.
  • The enemies will have several animations which they will showcase when present in a environment which is on fire.
  • Immense effort has been made by the team to incorporate several reactions for Drake when he is surrounded by fire, to make it seems as realistic behavior.

I still laugh at the people that think 3D will somehow "penalize" the game.

its going to be like multiplayer for the last one.

every one complained saying it would make the campain worse.

but it turned out multi and campain were awesome.

ND even said doing multiplayer, forced them to refine the gameplay, which in turn made their campain better

the jest is to keep people focused on the presentation of the gameplay experince...the entire game is renderend to have a back up engine in the 2d format all of our old tools were in 2dand it`s thank`s to the PS hardware that the polygon rendintion takes to life whilst giving the player seamless control of drake during his adventure...everything even down to facial expression were hand rendered...even drake`s clothing is calibrated to provide colision dection with the everyroment even the fire graphic has collision dection...as people follow Drake into his adventure the team makes every moment of the game is action packed!

WOOT!

And yes ladies...KillZone 2 hit my projected mark! I am stoked! I remember hosting MP Beta on the PS2 with the first of the series with such a devoted fan base.... Only 5 million untis to go for PS3 and we will be in the profit margin! I dare claim another 2.5 million PS3 units sold before 2012!

New Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Details from GamePro Magazine

In the latest GamePro Magazine some new info is revealed about Uncharted 3 Multiplayer. First of all, Naughty Dog wants Uncharted 3 to be the "go to game for PS3 multiplayer". Developers also admit that Uncharted 2 multiplayer could have been better, but they didn't have enough time to work on it.

Naughty Dog cited titles such as Red Dead Redemption and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood as influences on multiplayer. Also after all the lab tests for Uncharted 2 MP, Naughty Dog said that "One thing we learned from UC2 multiplayer was that damage / health should be "the same or similar to single player".

"Developers also admit that Uncharted 2 multiplayer could have been better, but they didn't have enough time to work on it."

This is actuaclly true....Games like Call of Duty and a few others really put alot on our plate...staying competive meant offering PS3 owners free Multiplayer so we got no support from the call of duty team...but we rather offer ps3 a chance to connect without having to pay so much more to play..the GTA people did the same some even took jobs with the competion bucuse they charge for online play....I'm not afraid to go forward with this..when we put The Getaway out it was useless to back up uncharted...most of the ND Devs are the backbone of 989 studios...we got split up and ND arose it was a breath of fresh air..fortune will have it that we were able to get one of our core engines in 3d on the PS1 ;Syphon Filter. and due to this keeping firmware prootocol up to date while monotoring user base connection rates really put's a strain on the team...but just as ND mentions the whole game has a 2d engine to back it up...we had Uncharted playable on the PS1 back  the during the initial build of the egine...yes ladies Drake and his gang have been one of major core games offered by SONY.... Even Spyro has a 2d engine build inside of it...and with the quick rise to popularity of inFamous and the collosal debut of Killzone 2 everyone has alot of work to do...The hopes were that Zipperware would lend a hand...but even they were busy...And zipperware duties are mostly handles to the MP of the PSN...but the Uncharted beta mold for MP was in my opinion a sucsess...and with a stout growing fanbase and PS3 sales the way are not much to worry about...ND took it personal when when certain publishers turned their back on us for cash...

"Naughty Dog cited titles such as Red Dead Redemption"

That was another game that got alot of support from Zipperware...but we got no support in return and lead to M.A.G to consolidate their infrastructure...sad thing GTA was a major tittle on our platform...

Naughty Dog already made a game in the Desert setting with Jak 3 for the ps2. The Desert in that game looked pretty amazing. I can only imagine how good the desert will be with the power of the ps3. VERY EXCITED.

Some new multiplayer info

I like how we can now kick the crap outta each other while hanging, hope its can be done simutaneously, like 2 ppl kick each other at the exact same time and both fall to death, lol.
