i used to that GTA will for sure come to the wii... but now i think it's 50/50.

for: might as well cash-in. cheap to make, sell decent.

against: ps3 or 360 version will be vastly superior. anybody with wii + 360/ps3 will be getting the non-wii version.


if GTA4 comes out on the Wii, i estimate 250k LTD sales. that'll make some money but not necessarily a great investment. i'd rather Take2 invest that money on some original IP designed specifically for the Wii.

If you really want a GTA game... buy a 360 or a PS3 I don't think you will hava a GTA game for the Wii in at least 2 years, and I don't agree on the controls but that is personal taste.

just to follow up on my own comment... i estimate that it's better investment if Take2 spend a few more million and do a GTA4 spinoff for the Wii. better chance wii60 and psWii (?) people will pick up that copy, as well as selling to those Wii-only owners who want to play some version of GTA anyway.

 yea rockstar delayed GTA 4 so they could port GTA 3 to the Wii!!!  man im pumped....

nothing?¿? Graphics, world size, behavior of ai? All that the PS2 would never able to handle. The Wii may handle a little downgrad of the graphics, (because of the smaller resolution size) the rest, i doubt it. It can't handle the big world and ai of GTA4. Not what i have seen. That just needs to much ram and cpu. No the Wii and the PS2 can't handle that. No No No never.

 Graphics haven't improved all that much, but you are right that it'll need to be slightly dumbeddown


World size and behavior of ai - That's interesting, i haven't seen any actual improvements in either, so i'm not sure where you are getting your intel

That can't be the same game. The last trailer looked so much better. That looks PS2ish. Talented fake though with getting the face right.

I hope you were trying to show how little the graphics have changed because based on that video things haven't changed much at all =P

I know there are better looking GTA IV videos, but I have to side with the idea that superb graphics aren't required. Honestly I don't know what Just_Ben is basing his info off of, but from what I have seen GTA IV can be done on the Wii by simply taking out some of the advanced lighting and shading techniques it can't handle. Other than that the quality shouldn't be much of an issue since the Wii only has to worry about 480p anyways, the AI and world size really wouldn't come in to play at all from what I have seen of the game.

It wasn't a comment. It was a link.

The difference in graphics is massive. It's out of discussion. GTA doesn't look like Uncharted but the jump is massive if you consider what offers trailer made on San Andreas engine.
