Forums - Microsoft - Homefront DLC to come first to Xbox Live, exclusive map also confirmed for 360

THQ’s just announced that all DLC for Homefront will arrive on Xbox 360 first. The 360 version will also get an exclusive map, known as Suburbs.

Microsoft’s Major Nelson made the announcement at the publisher’s “newTHQ” event in New York.

The deal is similar to the one announced by Activision at E3 last year, in which all Call of Duty DLC would be coming first to Xbox Live until 2012.

Homefront releases on March 8 in the US and March 11 in the UK.

lol. Good one. I personally am pumped for Homefront, but I may get Deus Ex instead seeing as they release on the same day. Homefront looks to be great, but the graphics suck imo, but luckily, graphics do not ruin a game(at least for me)

Yeah Ill try it too...but for different reasons than most.  I liked single player in Frontlines much more than COD games. Less scripted, more freedom for cool stuff...

MP wise, realism doesn't appeal to me...so bulletstorm looks like the game to get for that...if Halo Reach decides to give me a break. :)

I enjoy scripted events, if done right. That is why I enjoyed the Uncharted series, because their scripted events felt exhilarating as oppossed to say, MoH, where the scripted events were so predictable and oddly placed. I am angry at fps's though, because after being hooked on them for over 7 months now, I can't enjoy other genres, because of their pacing. They are( and I am sad to say it) the reason I will not be picking up ME2 next week. :(

cool.Gives me a reason to get it on the 360.Hopes the game is good.

Apparently the "Exclusive" map will eventually get ported to PC/PS3, I think I read that somewhere, not 100% sure though, so don't bite my head off if incorrect.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Pass on this one. Not going to support a non fully featured PS3 game. If I ever get this it will be used so I don't support these developers who are shitting on the PS3.

Yes because having a timed DLC absolutely shits all over PS3 version of the game.

You should avoid CODs too then. And Valve, although they're buddyng up with Sony now, so it's all good there.

COD games have a month timed exclusive map pack. Not an issue at all. Homefront has an exclusive map for the 360 and DLC which is probably just a month but it could be more. If it's just a month it's not a big issue but this isn't COD. It's a new IP. COD games are worth the wait but who really cares for Homefront. It might be a good game but with the bullshit exclusive map to the 360 and waiting for map packs, fuck it. It's not worth the wait. This is going to be as worth it as the COD games are so it's not worth waiting for time exclusive DLC. Later on, I might potentially get this but it's not worth waiting for DLC for THIS game and it's messing a map.
