I wouldn't say that they only care about the US market, but that is where they get the vast majority of their sales. Sony obviously does better than the 360 in Japan, and they are pretty evenly matched in Europe (with the PS3 having the slight edge in terms of # of countries where it outsells the 360 on a weekly basis: http://vgchartz.com/ehweekly.php)

Games like R:FoM, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank Future, Uncharted, and Warhawk. Quite honestly, those games alone are enough for me to justify the purchase of a PS3.

outside of NA, MS has no brand name
people are not buying PS3 because it has the best game
but because they think the best games will be on PS3
like people prefer to "Nike basket" over "Gap basket"

gap =/= basket
Sony = playstation = console
MS =/= console

Btw is there any weekly or monthly games attach ratio for each console for each region.
with these week Other numbers and the games sales i see Sony really doing a great job in Europe and America start to look more and more sorry state of affair for them... i believe if they will release LAIR in europe, even it will start posting some good figures...

Especially since SCEE sucks ass and is far worse than SCEA. We have empty PSN stores, we get the worse PS3 versions. Everything is more expensive and the SCEE chef is retarded.
On the other hand european support from Nintendo and MS sucks similarily. Besides PS3 sales in America have been ok this christmas not so good as the 360 but the xbox had all the big exclusives after all. This will change
