3DS will boast a 3D camera when it launches in Japan next month, allowing users to take 3D snaps, but Nintendo president Satoru Iwata would also like the new handheld to support 3D video recording capabilities.

Speaking in the latest episode of the Iwata Asks series of interviews, he said: "I think it will be fun if we're able to include video recording capabilities with future updates."

That's it. Nothing set in stone, but it seems like a logical next step.

Earlier this week, it was rumoured that 3DS will release in the UK on or around March 25 for £200-£230.

How would they do that with an update? And define update, because if a 3DSlite comes out with it, I won't be happy.

Just like how they lock up the cart limit and slowly increase the size overtime like how the DS games got bigger.

Well, although I'm not fully recovered, this kinda makes up for the terrible news this week

with a .3 megapixel camera, comparable to the DSi camera? lmao!

Okay. Well, maybe they'll be able to do 3D video chat someday.

Honestly I would love to do 3D video with the 3DS. Also I bet the device will have a physical update like DSLite launching within 2 years. That device will probubly have an improved battery life and other features like a higher resolution camera. Nintendo wants you to buy the next model so they will probubly hold back some functionality and features untill the next model comes out.

This sucks for us as consumers but makes perfect buisness sense. Many consumers upgrade to the newer models and its smart to offer them more incentives to do so. If the model offers significant upgrades I will probubly have to upgrade like I did with DS.
