No, I just called you out on that bullshit you just spewed.
If your Wii breaks, and you call Nintendo to have it fixed, your stuff will be transferred over. Full Stop. Now you are just making crap up. Having an opinion is one thing, making shit up to prove a point is something else. Cut the crap about "wull that's dumb that you have to send it out". That wasn't the original point of your post and you know it.

There might be a misunderstanding here. I think Nintendo can transfer over your Wii Shop Account even if your Wii is totally destroyed, though my guess is you'd have to have your console serial number memorized. Now obviously you lose all progress data and such, but i think account data can still be sent through, because they should have records of what your console has or hasn't purchased saved on the server side
Though i could be wrong

I just hope that 3DS will be using Friend Codes temporarily, just while the next gen Nintendo network is being made for Wii 2.
Hopefully, 3DS slim will have upgraded online.

Doesn't work like that, unless Nintendo wants to support multiple networks simultaneously or cut off service to older titles. It would be hard to patch in a totally new online system, especially if the friend code system is game-specific (something that's hardwired into the cartridge). When they made the switchover, they would have to build both, or leave the old one to die

I hope I don't come off as a fanboy, but people are coming to conclusions way too quickly. Just because Friend Codes do exist doesn't mean it'll be the same twelve or sixteen digit code system most of us have come to hate. I'd be happy if it was universal, but there's certainly a possibility of the Friend Code system being similar to PSN and XBL. After all, they're technically "codes" as well. Give it two more days for official confirmation, then if you deem is unsatisfactory, complain then. By now, we can't really change the system, all we can do is wait and be patience for official confirmation on the Friend Code set-up.
