So far Hasbro hasn't gone down since I bought it and Activison goes up and down. Nintendo stock was really bad when I had it until last year when I sold it.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
Facing tough competition, sure. Not tough enough in my opinion.
Windows 7 is still a huge success and still sold with every computer, sadly, letting no choice to people.
The 360 is also a huge success.
Office keeps ruling.
Everything else they tried lately failed. Windows Phone 7 does not work great commercially. Zune keeps failing. Bing is sooooooooo far from google.
Also we can see MSN messenger losing market share to facebook and gtalk.
The world seems to understand alternatives exist, thanks mostly to google, apple, and Free Software, and it's very good in my opinion.
They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts
Microsoft made 4 billion dollars in 3 months last quarter.
Microsoft has over 40 billion in the bank...cash
"TOUGHER competition" doesn't seem to be hurting their bottom line
What exactly does M$ lose if you do not use IE? I mean its not like we pay for the webrowser, we get it free with Windows.
| ThePS3News said: Its good to see M$ finally going down the garbage where they belong. I just recently bought stock for SCE (Sony Computer Entertainment) and i am happy to say that i am confident of my purchase of stock. Google >Bing PS3 >360 Android/Xpehira >Windows phone MAC >PC Sony/Apple > M$ |
If PSP2 launches this year, i would sell my stock before it happens, Sce always loses money with new console launches. (At least they did with PS1, PS2 and PS3) and then later make it back and then some. Exception being PS3 where they still haven't made it back, but not losing money anymore.
Open office for being free isn't a bad product. But, It still holds a small candle next to Ms Office that runs circles around it in many areas. If you are only using it to write a few documents create a few formulas its just fine. But if you need full integration of formating, legal documents, presentations and easy sharing around the office with formating that doesn't change upon importing and exporting. You really need office.
Seriously, you'd have a better time arguing about wordperfect office than you would open office. I still think its hilarious when companies who've accumulated billions a year in revenues still continue to try and do everything in open office. Upgrades are downright painful, and integration with formating and seemless access to database inquires are not user friendly. The labor required to use open office is 4 to 5 times what it takes to use MS Office.
| supercat said: MS for a long time has had the fortune of being a monopoly with its OS and office software, but now is being threatened in several different products areas now. It's phone OS is losing marketshare to Android hand over foot and so is the Iphone. Already, we have Android netbooks, as android is smaller/cheaper/ faster than the netbook version of windows. Soon, MS will be losing more marketshare with its phones and netbooks, not good. Also, it is losing marketshare with its biggest cash cow, MS Office to OpenOffice. OpenOffice is still fairly small in the US but it's gaining, most importantly b/c it is free and well made.
Also, its browser is losing marketshare, as the android OS is gaining so will Chrome (on netbooks for now anyway).
Sell your miscrosoft stock, it ain't going up! |

Alternatives indeed are great, I happen to think the incompetence of other companies to produce software that rivals Microsofts is their problem particularly though. People claim that OSX is a great operating system but they don't berate Apple for locking it down to their hardware, despite the fact it shares the same CPU archiecture as modern Intel PC.
There are many online shops you can buy PC's from now that do not include Windows so it is hardly sold with every computer.
