Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 may have been a smashing success, but it has also become a paradise for players looking to exploit online multiplayer games. Although Javelin glitches and leaderboard tampering may have seemed like world-ending catastrophes at the time, these are minuscule compared to how broken the game is now on the PlayStation Network. In Spectator Mode, players can be seen opening up “VIP” menus which include God Mode, wall-hacks (shooting through walls), and some kind of aimbot as large red boxes appear around enemies who attract every bullet. I even witnessed a “Drug Mode” activated where the gameplay is displayed through alternating purple and grey filters and damage seems to be completely negated. After finishing a match with hackers, many players report their Clan Tags being changed; all emblems, titles, and equipment are unlocked; and Infinity Ward’s ticker displays “YOU GOT F****** OWNED!!!” in red along with the player’s kill and score ranks. This appears similar to challenge lobbies online (private matches where players can access a menu to unlock everything in the game), except it’s being used in public matches and accounts are being tampered with by other players.

Users in Infinity Ward’s forums have been reporting these issues since just before the new year, but the community moderators do not seem to have acknowledged the situation. Many have reached out to community manager Robert Bowling on Twitter, but his responses vary little from the usual rhetoric responding to reports of hacking. These issues may be a consequence of the recent hacks on the PlayStation 3′s security measures.

If this will be the future of of the online play and the Trophies being affected because of this fucking recent hacks. I hope you guys are pretty happy now because you got yourselves your precious CFW. 

And the hackers destroy the experience on PS3... I hate them.

So the 360 was the only system was modders till December? I find that hard to believe, this game was plagued with issues since 5 months after release on the 360.

Yeah. No modders on PS3 just cheats with internet cable.

And this stupid hack had to happen when killzone 3 was releasing.

O well, at least killzone 3 won't sell that much, so I still have some hope.

Imagine what would hackers  be able to do on LBP 2 !!!!!!!!!! It looks like i quit MW2 at the right time.

I saw a ''Derank Player'' option... Now that is just evil. why would anyone do that to another player? It would make me very insecure knowing that some random guy can just derank me any time he wants for no reason... where THE FUCK is Infinity Ward????

I've been a member of the getting screwed by this club.

Some reject started a game and in doing so changed my clan tag to 'C***' and did some other stuff. I exited the game not wanting to play with hackers. I went straight into another game and noticed my silencer was no longer present. I exited that game and to my dislike noticed my level had been reset to 1 and I'd lost everything I'd done up to then in prestige and unlocks. 

I am thought apparently a lucky one, I kept my titles and such alike, the Infinity Ward forums and other MW forums are filled with people who lost more. But because I exited the game and it saved my online profile I lost it all.

I have not played the game nor do I want to again until something is done about it. Pissed me off as my time was essentially wasted by some jerkwad, housemate also is not playing just to not lose his stuff like I did.

thinking of trying a different online game, what's MAG like?

sweet which i had a ps3 to toy around with that stuff that would be funny me starting at recruit super everything i threaten teh general(whatever that is in cod) to lose or he will be a recruit lol 

MAG is a squad based game but it has very few people playing it, and you need a mic for it. Otherwise its boring.

If you go to the official MAG forums you can easily join a clan for it if you want to, and you can have 10x more fun though. And there's minimal lag.
