People who quit online games when they are losing aren’t the most noble of gamers. I’m sure we’ve all wished we could just disconnect at one point or another, but the whole point of playing online is to keep on ticking, even when taking a kicking.
Capcom will be introducing an interesting feature in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 to prevent quitters. The game will keep a track of your connection habits, and if your frequently disconnect it will begin to mark down your reputation. The beautiful part is that nobody is made aware of this but soon enough, in some sort of wonderful karmic effect, the game will start to face off quitters against quitters only, thus giving them a taste of their own medicine.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
