I use voice and data simultaneously ALL THE TIME. While that's not a deal-breaker for me, combine it with the good coverage I get with AT&T so Verizon doesn't have that advantage for me (but I acknowledge that their coverage is, by and large, superior to AT&T).

If Apple doesn't have an LTE phone ready to go with the iPhone 5 in August, they're making a HUGE mistake.

There is no way an LTE iPhoneis coming out this year. Verizon would be the only carrier with any real coverage for the phone as AT&T is a year behind them in rolling it out. AT&T would be stupid to ask/push Apple for this.

Now on the other hand, Apple is equally as stupid if they don't have an LTE phone come out as there will be a slew of Androids with dual cores out by June/July when iPhone's typically release.

However, looking at how Apple handled 3G, they may just wait for more carriers (in and out of US) to have LTE before they push it out, thus 2012.

Any word on a Droid 3? I really dont give a damn about the iPhone, I just want an LTE powered Droid. And my contract with Verizon will be up towards the end of the year.

I think this is probably the closest, it is the Atrix, the next Motorola flashship phone

http://www.motorola.com/consumers/GB-EN/Motorola-ATRIX-GB-EN.do?vgnextoid=b1fc8c923df2d210VgnVCM10000081bbb00aRCRD

Bear in mind that Mobile World Conference is next month when more phones will be announced

Haha Munkeh, Verizon just got done announcing several LTE phones, and from what I've seen, I wouldn't touch that Motorola, here's some choices:

HTC Thunderbolt

LG Revolution

Samsung 4G LTE

And two LTE Motorola Phones, the ATRIX isn't the new flagship BTW,

Motorola ATRIX

And the new Motorola Flagship phone, the "Droid Bionic"

I'm stuck with a 2 year Contract since July with a Droid X, but I'm fine with that considering my Contract ends mid 2012 when LTE should be plenty spread out ^_^

Na I found an article. Some nice soundng phones.

http://www.droid-life.com/2011/01/10/chart-verizon-4g-lte-android-phone-lineup/

Droid Biotic running Nvidia's ARM CPU Tegra2. Interesting to say the least, and will be awesome to see the games for it.

Dammit! You beat me... But on a side note, I'd stray away from Motorola if you ever want full open functionality on the Android platform, as Motorola has been locking up their bootloaders like Fort Knox.

So far CES demonstrated Motorola's Bionic and Atrix for Verizon and AT&T respectively as well as a few other LTE 4G phones. All of which won't see release until March at the earliest. Expect later though.

Bionic looks really nice though if you're on Verizon. Samsung also had a 4G LTE phone for Verizon, but it was unamed and not dual core. I also saw one from LG that looked interesting.

Hit up www.BGR.com and go down the history of posts past all the iPhone Verizon stuff to the CES Verizon show to see the phone's descriptions.

The Bionic and Atrix are almost identically spec'd. However, the ATrix has far better accessories.

Hit up Motorola's website and search on them, the Atrix has this really awesome media dock and a far more impressive laptop docking shell. Makes your phone a laptop.

Here is a question...

Will Windows Mobile, Blackberry or Symbian devices ever be discussed in threads like this? Seems like Its a complete 2 horse race according to everyone on VGcharts.

Well maybe not Symbian phones lol...but the other 2 seem to have legitimate reasons to be in this convo.

Im just honestly asking here...not trying to start an argument of which is better.

Forgot to differentiate in my last post and made the mistake insinuating that the ATRIX is on Verzion, when in fact it is AT&T exclusive. The Bionic is essentially the Verizon version of the ATRIX in a sense.

nope. Win7phones suck as they are just too new. It will be a year or so for them to mature. Did you read the latest massive bug with tremendous ghost data causing customers to go over their plans?

BB is simply dying and as soon as Android/iPhone really grasp the business market its over for them. They have virtually no dev support.

Symbian who?

Good question, Android and iOS phones are discussed together and exclusively together because they are in a whole different league so to speak. Compare the Sales of Android and iOS devices to that of Windows Mobile, Blackberry and Symbian devices and you will see what I mean, at least in the US.

People have been talking about the Atrix more, so I forgot about the Bionic, due to its accessories

Also, I take less interest in carriers since it doesn't really affect me

I think you're a little too narrow minded here with this reply.

Windows mobile 7, while new, has had a really impressive launch and support form the get go. Ballmer announced at CES that they have 5500 apps in less than 4 months...a number which puts it on par with iphone's launch and surpasses Androids launch support in the same time frame. Not to mention that they have an update coming in February which is to add things like copy/paste, multitasking, speed up the device and various undisclosed features.I've never seen Microsoft move this fast with a product that just came out months ago. And in terms of quality at time of release, this has to be one of their most refined.

As far as Blackberry, it may seem like a dying market to Androids open source force, and Iphone...but it doesn't change the fact they are still the marketshare leader, even if barely. The upcoming blackberry tied tablet looks really cool I think.

I forgot Palms WebOS, which was actually ahead of the Iphone curve when Palm Pre came out. Now its time to see what HP did with it when they release Palm Pre 2.

As far as those supposed data glithces on WM7... having a "mature phone" doesn't mean you won't get glitches.

Just ask Iphone 4 customers with reception issues or Android users with Text messaging problems.
