I was thinking of switching from AT&T after they announced this but I'm going to re-up with AT&T for one more contract, then consider moving again in 18 months. No LTE, slower 3G network than AT&T, no simultaneous voice/data. Fail.

I could not have been more excited when I heard this news...until I saw that I couldn't switch my current iPhone 4 and my wife's iPhone 3GS to Verizon.  Suck.

Meh, still keeping my Android phone.

Though I hope the few of my buddies with iPhones will follow through on their statements and switch to Verizon now so our calls are free. :)

lol yeah... that's like crying that you can't play your NSMBWii game on the PS3.

1. LTE iPhone won't appear until 2012 (prob June/july as normal)

2. Out of hte MANY years I've been using phones I have only had one time where I wanted the data/voice at same time feature.

3. The far larger footprint of Verizon's 3G easily out does the technically faster AT&T 3G. Consider each company has 100 blocks. AT&T has 10 blocks that are 100% rated and the rest are 30%. Verizon has 85 blocks that are rated 85% and 15 that are 30%. Its pretty clear which is the best option, unless you live and remain in the tiny 10 blocks of AT&T's 3G.

Verizon >>> AT&T.

So it's the same phone as 7 months ago on a new network.... It is still a bit behind many Android phones, I would advise waiting for the iPhone 4G which should come out this year
