I used the MINOLTA from the A-Spec Like The Wind prize. I'm also using the Indy race in the B-Spec Like the Wind to level up my other Bobs, as they're all still at levels 0 - 5. |
i tried a new b spec driver and decided to start him off on a higher up race give him the fastest car 800bhp vs 250bhp comp cars and he lost kept skidding on every corner. b spec is a brill mode to relax and watch.
but one thing is i really dont like the monza circuit in this game it looks to garish colours

Most of my Drivers are in between Hot and Cold, so even with low levels and high powered cars they can still keep a good pace and not exaggerate when they at Level 0.
I like the Monza track, especially when it's under weather conditions. I had tons of fun in that track racing in the Formula Gran Turismo championship A-Spec.

My B-Spec drivers are incredibly daft. driving around tracks like Daytona they slow to a damned crawl around some of the corners, even though i constantly give them the hurry-up they can go from a comfortable first to almost stone last in one corner! even the rest of the AI is not that stupid.
I know (at least I think) it's not the cars setup as i've driven the same setup/tyres in A-Spec and practice mode and still have plenty of extra grip to keep going
any tips?
I've tried the Level/Class 0 driver trick with no luck...
OT: damned awesome vid BTW

My B spec character level is broken. My character says its Level 31 and I got the speed, Physical strenght and Mental strenght upgrades from each level reached but my main Profile says its Level 29 and the level 30 races are restricted for my B spec charater. Has this happened to anyone else.
Anyway, yeah it looks very real except GT5 is missing buildings and scenary but that crap doesn't matter. As for the person saying its an old video. This videos from Sony. The video you are talking about was posted by someone who raced the nurburgring with a video camera attached to his Dash and compared GT5's Nurburgring to the real thing when the game came out. The differance between the 2 videos is the weather. His video was captured when it wasn't as dull. This video is showing the track when its dull like in GT5.

You have to set all cars Brake Balance to 1F 1R.
With the default Brake Balance, every A.I Bob will brake at the every tiny correction, while at 1F 1R or 0F 0R, they'll only brake only when necessary.
I won NASCAR daytona race on the Extreme events at the first try thanks to that (and a pretty darn good custom setup).

Your B-spec drivers level slightly faster than your B-spec level itself. Up until level 25, 26 or so the 2 levels are about dead even, but beyond that the drivers start lvling faster.
Right now my b-spec is 36, but I have a 37-almost-38 driver.

Ah right its supposed to be like that. That seems like a strange way of working things though. I thought maybe its a bug because it only started working like that when I started using more than 1 driver for a race
