Forums - Microsoft - Avatar Kinect a possible killer app?

After seeing the CES presentation, the idea that it is suitable for machinema applications came to my mind.  Because of this, I was wondering if anyone here sees if Avatar Kinect might end up becoming a killer app.  I can see a viral outbreak of people doing talk shows using Avatar Kinect and other skits, driving it to become increasingly of interest and taking off.

Anyone else see something like this possibly happening?  Could it become a killer app?  The program would allow people remotely to do interviews in a common environment, for example.

I like Skype. It works great for 1-on-1 calls. Thanks for sharing, though I imagine that advertising a product would be against forum regulations.

OT: I dunno, though I kind of doubt it. For video podcasts it may be more useful.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Anyone remember 2nd life, how's that going nowadays

@SvennoJ:  It went downhill when someone thought it was fun to make an nuclear bomb and detonate it...

I said I was sorry :(

On topic: Anything could potentially be a killer app. This though, most likely not

No, but I think its a nice addition to Xbox Live.

Curious to see if it has any significant impact.

If they could add Virtual Reality goggles to it, it would be unstoppable.  Probably easily pushing sales above the WIi.
