I thought the point of Kinect was to not use a controller but you be the controller.

the point of Kinect was to show that you dont need an endless amount of accessories to play motion gaming. It does this

No, Im pretty sure that Kinect was to make you the controller, so adding 2 additional controllers would go against that. Since that is what is touted in all of the advertisements.

Nah I think they could get away with the original Xbox360 controller to do those things. You could still do the knife stabbing etc. just take one hand off the controller, it shouldnt be too hard i think.

Are you posting your own opinions about the way Kinect should be? Just curious cause thats not what I am arguing. Microsoft original intent was to not have any additional controller when using Kinect, hence the "You are the controller" tag line from the advertisements. Which makes the hack shown in the video despite being cool, against what the intention was for Kinect.

Nope, they have said that they are going to make hybrid games most likely. So there must have been some intention in it.
The main intention for you are the controller tagline imo was for sport games/ Fitness games/ Dance Games and games of that ilk as well as whatever they come up with. I still survival Horror has great potential on Kinect.

I must have missed this hybrid games announcement. Would you kindly direct me to a source for that.

Quite interesting, but beyond the tech, I don't really see a point in it. The controller seems to be doing most of the work, and if you were to replace it with an Xbox controller, it would just be CoD, but you can make a few hand movements as well... But I personally don't feel the need to jump while playing games myself

Exercising, now imagine those people who actually play COD to 10th prestige, having to jump their way through to that. That's an insane amount of jumps, at least that way they'll burn off the calories, it can be like a Fitness game.. with murdering of people involved
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.
